Hi,
I used TMPGenc Author to author my first DVD and burn to disk recently. Stupidly, I went to 'Create a menu' after 'Source setup', and I gave a title to the media track, and then when I played the dvd in my Pioneer 444 (play anything player), the video was jerky, and then after about 8/9 minutes the Title track appeared on the TV screen, but I could not do anything with it, and the media would not go past that 'Title track', so the dvd disk is now a coaster.
What caused the jerkiness, as there where no bad frames in the original file and I have just watched abot 10 minutes of the mpg file on my PC with no problems.
Also, do I have to insert chapters and titles or can I jst burn it as one whole file to watch in my dvd player?
Thanks

Not sure about the jerkyness, but to answer your other question..NO, you dont need any tracks or menus at all. Just add your files, go to output and author, you can burn it too if you have one of the latest dvd author progys.

Ok thanks for that; I'll now go ahead and author another DVD then now, but as 1 only, without chapters etc
