  1. I am trying to get the hang of Cinema Craft encoder , but I keep getting a problem and I am not sure on how to handle it. I have an AVI file with the following details...

    Video - Codec 4CC Div3 (DivX 3 Low-Motion)
    Aspect 368 x 272 (1.353 : 1)
    Bitrate 486 kb/s
    Frame rate 25.000 FPS

    Audio - 0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3
    Bitrate 96 kb/s (48/ch x 2 ch) CBR
    FS 44100 Hz

I can play the orginal file (AVI). It has video and audio , but when I try to encode the file with Cinema Craft Encoder it gives me three messages. One, can not save ecl file. Two, couldn't find appropriate video codec for div3 . The last, vinfo_open failed.

I am puzzled because the codec are there because it plays with video and audio , but the program states it can not find the codec. I had a another AVI file with a simular message but had a problem finding a different codec. My problem - some AVIs files work with Cinema Craft Encoder , but the ones that do not I recieve the same message 'couldn't find appropriate video codec'.

What can I do to fix this problemß

  2. Firstly are you using a trial version of CCE? Or did you attempt to crack the program. I must admit I cracked a version but was not happy with it (could not save anything) so I purchased it. It was worth every penny.

You need to be using AVISynth to encode properly with CCE.

    Get yourself:
    FitCD
    AVISynth

and go from there. FitCD will write the avs script for you including putting int he mathematics to keep the correct aspect ratio, and also it will output scripts that enable frame rate conversions.
