  2. Hi werewolf_02.

This kind of thread is understandably frown upon.
What is "better" from one's point of view might be "worse" for someone else.

My personal opinion, yes, DVD Shrink is better than DVDXCopy.
The only advantage DVDXCopy has over Shrink v3.0 is its ability to split to two DVD-Rs while keeping the menus (DVD Shrink can split too, but will not allow to keep functionning menus while doing so).

DVD Shrink is a great software for ripping and shrinking, and I've seen reports that it CAN split a movie into 2 disks along with menus and all, but you have to re-author after the first disk.

Personally, I prefer DVD2One. Super easy to use, as long as you can do without all the authoring tools that shrink provides. Why someone would want to rip a movie with the menus is beyond me. If you own the original, just backup the movie. SO much faster and simpler.

  8. This thread will never die's it's like "What's better AMD or INTEL" What better is what you want out of the software. Speed DVD2ONE. 1.1 copy DVDXCOPY. DVD2DVD or DVD2DVD-R best for movie's only. IC8 best for full disc back up. DVDshrink and DVDFAB best there free. CloneDVD very good also has burning software.

All these software have trail's so you can see if you like them.
