Sorry for the newbie posts, but I'm trying to get a handle on these problems...Maybe we could use a Vegas 4 group?
I took the advice of BJ_M and used a frame server for converting avi to mpeg 2. That seemed OK but the I found that TMPG would not stop encoding when the frames stop coming in. It would just keep encoding for the same length of the file on the last frame, where by doubling the the file size....
I notice that I had a MainConcept plugin in Vegas 4, so I used it to convert to mpeg2 and it seemed to go real fast and the quality was great, but the audio is way out of sync.
here's the specs
AVI 640x480 PMC stereo
converting to MPEG 2 352x480 VBR 8K max / 6K avg / 4K min 4:3 Progressive
Audio Setreo 48K 256
Can you tell what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks
