Everytime I attempt to open a video file with TMPGEnc I get this error message: Illegal floating decimal point calculation order. I have no clue why, I just want to make vcds and everytime I attempt to open a video file I get this error message. I am running windows 2k if that helps at all. Any suggestions would be welcome.

mov files and avi files seem to work but divx and mpg files elicit the error message

I've gotten the same error message before when trying to open Divx files in TMPG. I was able to correct it by installing the Kristal Studio Pack which you can find by looking in the Tools section over on the left side of the screen.

After installing the M$ encoder 7.1 I could not open anything in Tmpgenc was receiving the error:
Illegal floating decimal point calculation order, then I tried this and it worked for me.
Go to environmental settings -> VPAPI Plug-in tab ->
right click the Tmpgenc project file reader and increase the priority.
Good luck
