  1. Hi guys I really need help here ..

I need to rip some Arabic subtitles. So first I used VobSub but the subtitles that it produced are out of synch because there time added each
time the vob id changes so subtitles are twice longer than the movie. Second I have used Subrip witch basically uses the OCR, but since OCR cannot
recognize Arabic language then it is not an option for me. So I tried to save to bmp files...
1- I got more 1500 BMPs witch is not really practical
2- All the graphical formats are not recognized in any divx player and you can't convert them.

So is there any solution or I just have to forget about it?
Thanks a lot for your help and sorry for the long post and the bad English.

    Need a bit more info!!!

What are you trying to create? VCD? SVCD? DivX? DVD?

It is possible with some virtualdubfilter to lay bitmaps over the video...
But like I said... Need more info about what you are trying to do!!!

  3. Hi again

Well thanx for your reply ...

I am trying to make divx ... I have tried gordian knot to burn the subtitles in the movie but i the subtitles that it produced are out of synch and of course there's no way the fix that since they are part of the movie. And the subtitles duration is twice the movie. I have tried vobsub but i got the same problem. Is there any program able to edit the idx format of vobsub and fix the problem to gaps of time created every time to vob id changes or rip the subtitles from the dvd and store it in a graphical format compatible with any divx player ???

    thanx a lot ..

Do you happen to have the original DVD???

    Then it's possible with DVDx2.2 (http://www.labdv.com/dvdx/)!!!
Just rip the DVD with DVDDecrypter or other ripper and then load vobs into DVDx2.2.

Subrip can rip the subtitles in graphical format as well as text format - in which case it has to do OCR on them.

Use Subrip, save the subtitles in bmp format and then use VOSUB to burn them in the video file using VirtualDUB.
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.

  6. Hi again ..

VobSub can't deal with bmp format and virtualdub only recognizes text subtitles, so by doing that when i open the movie file i will see the file name of the bmp instead of seeing the content of the bmp, i will just watch file names
Is there anyway i can fix the idx files poduced by vobsub
    thanx
