DVD-Lab chapter problem

Ok I have two movies that I want to play right after each other. so in the connections I link them together, but for some reason when I play the movie on my dvd it freezes at the end of movie 1. Also want the chapters to continue of the second movie, but it starts over at chapter one. what do I need to do make it like one big movie? I tried to join them together in TMGENC but that didnt work, and I cant find another program that will easily allow it. There must be somethin I can do in DVD-Lab that will work. please help me out, this is killin me.

You can't make the chapters continue to another title in DVD-Lab, or any other authoring software package. That is not the defined structure of the DVD according to the spec. You will have to combine them into one large movie to do that.

Can you be more specific about file types, process, etc?

Download the 10 day full working trial of mpeg-vcr and use that to join the files.

I have no problems with this. I've linked up to 8 segments together to form 1 long play sequence. Each segment starts fine at the end of the prior with absolutely no pause.

Putting chapters in compilations like these are just as easy, they just take a little more work. I decide how many chapter points i want for each segment, taking into account that position 0 will always be one of the points. IE if i want 6 points I (auto)create 5. Then I create a seperate 'scene selection' menu/page for each segment. You have to add a few buttons and tweak some of the button linkages, but it comes out very nice.

No time wasted merging files or tweaking the video other than sometimes trimming a frame or 2 from the end of one to make the transition from segment to segment smoother.

With the video processed and already demuxed, I can usually complete a 4-6 segment project from start to completed burn in about an hour and a half.

I have taken almost all of my old laserdisc, multi-disc (s)vcds and some of my ota collections and converted them over to dvd like this. Nice being able to put all 13 episodes of Tremors: The Series on one dvd.... LOL
