Hello all,
For some reason, when I encode a DV-AVI file with TMPGEnc Plus 2.511 I get the following error at about 6% completion (second-pass). AVI file was captured with Canopus ADVC-100 and edited/rendered with Vegas Video 4. I was doing a 2-Pass VBR encode with elemental m2v/wav streams. Seems to happen with all files at the same spot. This problem just came up; everything worked fine for a long time...
Any idea what this means? Should I reinstall TMPGEnc and/or upgrade to a newer version? Is this a known bug?
Thanks,
vcddude

Although I don't use batch encoding I get the same error.
I have posted my experiences and a possible workaround for it in this post: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=183790
I hope this helps you. -
Thanks, this happened when I was encoding to DVD format using "Motion Estimate Search (Fast)".
I have a single CPU machine and enabled multithreading in TMPGEnc in Environmental Setting-->CPU as LordSmurf recommends on his website. Looks like this setting is the culprit--problem goes away when I uncheck this setting. I think the Prefetch Video function is broken somehow.
Thanks!
