I saw it at SAMS Club. It has this black chrome finish that goes around a silver case. This thing is heavy to unlike alot of DVD players and recorders out there. Here is the following features:
*Digital Video Disc (DVD) Recorder / DVD Player

*Up to 8 hours recording per 4.7 GB disc with 6 recording modes

*GUIDE Plus+ Interactive Program Guide with One-Touch Recording

    *Smart Record

*Time Base Correction plus Digital Noise Reduction

*Progressive Scan DVD Playback - Adds 3:2 Pulldown (doubles the lines of resolution)

I still have a Panasonic, but this RCA is very attractive and looks promising (much better than the Phillips or Magnavox).

No, it's not on the SAMS Club Website, but it is in there stores. Several items cannot be found on their website that can be found in the stores which is kind lame and makes you wonder why they even bother with a website if only to let people know about the buisness.

  8. Wow it's a great deal if you weren't forced to buy the same club membership. As it is it's still cheaper than any place else. Thanks for posting the rebate. I'm still not sure if the recording quality on this is equal to the panasonic though.

  10. The 7005 is a hard drive recorder and dvd PLAYER, not a dvd recorder, like the DCR8000.

You're right but they wrote this:
You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off.

  12. I agree that's it's confusing. It looks like the info is lifted directly from the RCA web site.

What they really mean is that the player will play DVD +R/W and CD-R/W discs. They really should move those terms from "recordable media" to "playable media".
