    i converted a xvid with ac3 audio mpeg2, but the finished mpeg2 audio is all mucked up, so is ther a way to resample the origanl xvid audio so that my authoring program will exspet it

  3. Or you can open the Xvid into VirtualDub, do a direct stream copy of the ac3 file, then use ac3fix to remove the wave header and use that ac3 file in your authoring program, no re-coding of the audio needed.

    so could i encode the ac3, then run it through ac3fix and put it str8 into tmpgenc dvd author, instead of running ir through tmpgenc first cos its dead quick to encode video only.
