I think it's not possible or reasonable to expect to identify
the encoder from 1 still frame ?
    Why do you care ?

Posted on Usenet doesn't mean squat (except it's been pirated, there's a cover available??? come on, read the rules).

It could have been done with any number of encoders, but doubt it was done with cinecraft.

More than likely all the footage from the Pay-Per-View event was sent to a commercial studio. There they worked from the digital masters, did their editing, and spit out the final product in DVD for US/Europe and VCD (which still lives quite well) for Asia. Hong Kong has all kinds of VCD's that are DVD in the states.

Well it looks good on my pc when I play it. When I convert it with tmpgenc the picture gets blurred and very dry.

Gspot doesn't do the job for the time being.

The reason why I would like to know is simply because this is the most acceptable quality for me. TMPGENC is good but I would like to find some other possibilities.

SVCDs_ I am done with them. Simply because VCDs are more "acceptable" and take less space.

    Thanks for the suggestions replies.
