You need to tell us exactly what you are doing, step by step, in order to get help?

What kind of files are you burning? What is the folder structure of the dvd you are burning (video_ts and audio_ts)? Ect...

Not only that :c( but they cross-posted with their second post https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=185111&highlight=

Didn't like the one answer - it asked for more info, so they tried their luck again.

    Not a good start.

  8. ok this is what i do in order to burn my dvd
    1. I use dvd decrypter
    1. Select Mode -> ISO -> Read
    2. Select your DVD Drive.
    3. Under Number of layers it should say 2, it is a DVD-9 disc.
    4. Select Mode -> FILE
    then i decrypt it

    2 I then use DVD2ONE-the source is VIDEO_TS

    3.I burn it with COPYTODVD
    1. Select File -> Write DVD Video
    2. Select the video_ts.ifo file that you find where you converted your video.

and thats all i do but it wont read on any of my dvd players i got a technosonic dvd player and a toshiba dvd a sanyo dvd player and a little portable mustek dvd player. It doesnt work on any of them. It will only play on my dvd burner drive.

What format of media are you using, -r or +r.
Some players and dvd rom drives are very picky about media.
As said above use rw discs.

  11. Don't apologize there not ADMINs they just like to bitch. I used to copy and burn the exact same way you do and I never had any problems. Are they DVD-R's or DVD+R's what brand and what kinda DVD burner? Like what dlb said. Oh, -R's won't work in anything but your computer. Try using different software too, DVDshrink is easy (faster too) then use COPYtoDVD

  12. This sounds like another case of just burning the DVD files to DVDR. The files should be put into a VIDEO_TS folder then only that folder is burned, otherwise the burned DVDR will play on the computer drive but not on any DVD player.

Exactly, I only use -r's and they work in everything

There are a number of standalone DVD recorders that use DVD-Ram, but other than that, well, I suppose thats what you could have been thinking of

  17. Look what I just found in this Website under WHAT IS DVDR

    DVD-RAM
DVD-RAM has the best recording features but it is not compatible with most DVD-ROM drives and DVD-Video players. Think more of it as a removable hard disk. DVD-RAM is usually used in some DVD Recorders.

  18. 808smokey,
Huh, ya, your point was? DVD -ram only plays in some devices, not real common, but I do have a set top recorder player I can use it on too, besides the PC.

I think you said -R first time, -R plays on almost anything that plays DVD BUT not everything!

As for first post, burn the folders VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS to your -r disks. You should have .vob .ifo .bup files in the VIDEO_TS folder and the AUDIO_TS folder is normally empty.
Also notice both folders are all in CAPS!!!

Maybe a typo but you mentioned a video_ts.ifo, no that is not correct! It should be in the folder, not a file by itself.
It would be good to check out the guides. If it seems some people get grumpy, it's because newbies seldom read guides or do searches, but ask the same questions 3 or 4 times a day!
Also read any manuals or guides that came with your software if you haven't already.

The angel wings are still there. :c) I wanted a change for Halloween. Hard to change just the wings so I stuck them on GIR, my favorite character from my favorite cartoon, Invader Zim. :c)

Hmmm, your method seems a little too taxing for a beginner. Have you tried just using DVDShrink and Nero?

Guides for DVDShrink can be found here:

    For version 2.3: http://www.dvdshrink.info/re-author.php
    For version 3Beta: http://www.dvdshrink.info/re-author-v3beta5.php

And guides to burn the resulting DVDShrink files with Nero can be found here:

    http://www.dvdshrink.info/nero-video.php

This was and still is the method I use and every newbie I've ever met have had no problems with this method.

    Give a try

I think DVD Shrink is the answer to all DVD burning issues and it even freshens your breath. Totally amazing. Did we figure out if the stand alone player accepts DVD-/+R media? Or was he poping in RW?
