    Doesnt work! freezes after 15% Is there any setting i have to change and what version do i need?

    Thank you for all your answers! i got it to work now I tried to rip it using a Pioneer DVD (model 500) it didnt work as you know so i installed my old Samsung DVD (616T) and it worked perfectly! Is can use any program and rip at every speed! i feel kind of embaressed(?) for not trying that at once... Sorry for my poor english....

  3. Good for you. I did suggest you try other readers, so I'm glad you were finally able to do that.

    It will pay for you to keep that "good" reader around and in working order for as long as you can...

  4. Likewise! My ageing Toshiba SD-M 1212 DVD reader will always have a place reserved on the IDE cable, it can even read the sunday newspaper

  5. I ran into something quite interesting here the other day, I installed some aspi drivers to make a program work.

    Later on I got a request from my sister that she wanted me to backup 2 of her newest cds, they where both "protected" with copy controll or something like that.

    I got errors all the time with EAC, just could not rip those files of that cd. I suddently remembered the aspi drivers and went to options.

    There I changed the settings so that EAC would use the native SPTI (NT\2K\XP\2003) drivers.

    Tried to backup again, and it went smooth as a laxative

    It's possible that my aspi drivers where "dirty", but I don't think so... Any way I would recommend usting the SPTI option when ripping copy protected music you own!
