I hope I am posting to the right forum, if not, please let me know which one I should be posting to.
I am trying to backup some original dvd movies such as top gun, lord of the rings etc.
Seeing as how dvds are not the cheapest things in the world, I thought I would test backing things up to a dvd -rw first. I have had problems with finalizing the disc. It just hangs there. Any ideas?
I am using dvd x copy 3.1.
I read somewhere but not officially that it cannot finalize on a dvd -rw? Is this true?

Greetings,
I bought a little while ago DVDxCopy Platinum and I never had good experiences with it. It is bugged and the results are far from what I wanted.
When I want to "backup" dvds, I use dvdshrink, IMGTools and DVD Decrypter. There are a couple tutorials that explain how to use these tools. Using these tools, I can say that I do not see a difference with the original one.
If you have questions about DVDxCopy product, their web site has forums and you will have answer to your questions.
Thank you
