could u please give me the best settings for dr.divx
i want to make a good quality avi file just like the dvd
i have about 30 - 40 minutes dvd vob file and i want to make it smaller like 300mb or less but with a good quality video.
pls if anybody uses this programme and know the best settings for every thing plz tell me

your not going to find many dr.divx users on this forum.divx.com has a forum with a dr.divx section,but i would sugest a better ripping program like gordian knot. http://www.doom9.org/gknot-main3.htm

Yes, probably are fewer users here than elsewhere. But, as with most things, I suspect there is no "best setting" as everything is very dependent on each video and will change from one to the next (amount of scene changes/motion, colors, light/dark scenes, complexity, etc).
Same as with any encoding, try short clips at various settings to see what works best for that particular video.There's no place like 127.0.0.1

You can't ask for DivX settings without more Info:
1) Resolution
2) Framerate
3) Audio type/rate
4) Movie Gendre (talking heads, drama, action).
1 hour of DivX on a CDR can look pretty good. 2 hours of DivX on a CDR look like crap.To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan
