Does anyone know if these (or similar) Philips DVD Players:

1. Are made in China ?

2. Despite being labeled as 110V 60Hz (possibly for UL/CSA approval purpose), wiould work without burning out on 230 VAC ? [I have seen other players which are similarly labeled for the North American market but which in fact have a universal power supply; I don't believe that the 726/727 with that number are sold yet in Europe].
