Get an error when changing MS codec to MC

I am trying to change the Microsoft codec (avi decompressor) to the MainConcept codec (MainConcept DV video decoder) from an avs script. But all I get is this error,

The filter cannot agree on a connection. Verify type compatibility of input pin and output pin. No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make this connection. (Return code: 0x80040217)

Someone solve this for me

it doesnt mater which dv codec is used for decompression -- it only maters which is used for compression ..

its switching between Microsoft and Mc dv codec ..

use graphedit and see which one is being used ...

you can set priorities in mc options ... try to turn off one or the other avi readers ..

Because MCE is running about the same speed as TMPGenc. I just want to know why is that.
