backing up my dvds with nero 6...session doesnt end?! HELP!

Im trying to backup some of my kids dvds since they gum them up all the time lol! Until recently things have been fine. Normally to make a sucessful backup copy, it takes about 15 minutes and you get a message that it sucessfully made a copy. Now what it is doing is it goes past the 15 minutes. I had left one going for 40 minutes and finally stopped it. Its like its not giving me the finalized message. I usually have to reboot then the dvd seems to have worked. I have tried re-installing Nero. My burner is a Sony DVD RW DRU 500A. I use Ritek 4x DVD-R which I havent had any problems until now. Any thoughts? HELLLP!

have you installed InstantCopy 8 recently? as this is known to be one of the reasons for this issue

I recently purchased dvd x copy from Fry's, but had issues with it so I uninstalled and was just going to go back to what I know worked...Nero...you think that may be causing this? I un-installed...but do you think something is still resident in the registry?
