Want menus and all but shrink and dvd2one won't let me!

Ok, I have already ripped the movie to my HDD twice. Once with Decryptor and the other with smart ripper. Now I have a dvd navigation file and would like to get the menus and all but shrink says it failed to find the specified file and DVD2one says that I must rip the movie in file mode because I am missing the appropriate file(which I did do it in file mode!). So now it's looking like I am stuck doing just the movie minus all the menus and stuff....or am I???? Please give me some suggestions.

I hope someone else has had this same thing happen to them so they can help me understand why it's doing this.

You don't need to rip the files with the latest version of DVDshrink so just put the DVD in your drive start DVDshrink and open the DVD.

When you ripped in file mode do you chose select all files?

Nope, I just went to mode in the case of dvd2one and selected file mode. Then it highlighted the appropriate files for me.

By the way Bob W, I have shrink 3.0 beta and 2.3 and with 2.3, it tells me that dvdshrink encountered a problem and cannot continue with the operation and I hit the ok button and shows the movie and menus but it won't let me do any compression on it and I still get nowhere.

You need to rip all the files not just the VOB movie files and when you do the burn to DVDR put whatever files you have into a VIDEO_TS folder then burn that folder.

I can't run the files through DVD shrink and then make an image file with Nero and then burn it?

Yeah DVD Decrypter selects movie only files at start-up, by default.

You can change this default .......... go to Tools/Settings/File Mode and untick the box "Select Main Movie Files".

"pyrate83" try AnyDVD let's you rip right from the DVD drive no need to copy the file's to the hard drive any more. Also when i back movies only some time's I back up the hole DVD if I need to rip it to the hard drive. Some DVD can be very funky. Also dvdshrink work's even better with ANYDVD
