Lite-on: 8x and 4x

This is more of an 'opinion' question:

Would it be smarter to wait for Lite-on's 8x drive to come out before getting the LDW-411s (identical to the 8x except its 4x write speed) for a price drop, or is $130 low enough that the price wont drop drastically?

I'd say wait a couple of weeks if you can. It may be the 811s will come out and be just a few bucks more.

If the 811s is just a few bucks more than it kind makes the 411s obselete after just a month!

Well, considering I've already been waiting a looong time (lol), I dont know how much more I can wait! So has there been a release date set, or...?

Not that I' ve heard of, but last time when they had "coming soon" for the 411s it was about 2 weeks when Newegg started carrying it.

Plextor sell at double the price of the average burner, and the same thing applies, you will pay a lot for those 7 minute savings, pour yourself
