    Can anyone help me to convert a Quicktime mp4 movie file to avi? I am unable to open it with TMPGenc, Premier, or determine which codec I need with Avicodec.

    open it with quicktime pro and do a save as and export it to something else ..

    premiere should open it fine .. you need to install the free quicktime authoring componets though first . they are on apples web site ..
