    I've got 3 movies on a DVD disc. The standalone player will play all 3 one after another. How can I get it to play on movie, then stop, and let me pick the next one from the menu???

    Re-author the disk with a menu, maybe?

    You didn't say, but if you used MYDVD to author the DVD and if you didn't uncheck the box "Play All", it will play every movie without returning to the menu screen. The "Play all" checkbox can be found under "Options".
