    Hi all,

I have about 30 VHS tapes that I bought while I was in the US and now I am in Australia. I'd like to convert these VHS tapes to DVDs. The problem is that the VHS tapes are NTSC. My VCR is a multi-system that it can play both NTSC and PAL tapes. But the problem is that when I connect it to the digital passthrough on the DV cam, which is PAL, and then my PC and capture the video using Ulead VS 7 I can only hear the sound but no picture.

Would there be a way to get this problem solved? Thank you very much.

    Regards,
    FLD.

Instead of using the digital passthrough, try recording to your camcorder through line out on VCR to line in on camcorder.

Then just send the DV into th PC through firewire.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

    Thanks, racer-x. I'll give it a try.
