My sony drive will not play any DVD's. It burns and reads CD's & DVD's okay.
This problem occurred when I upgraded our server from Win2K Advanced Server to Windows Server 2003. It was playing DVD's fine in Win2K.
Here's the error in:
Media Player 9:
"Windows Media Player is currently unable to play DVD video. Try decreasing the number of colors displayed on your monitor or decreasing the screen resolution. For additional solutions, click More Information to access the DVD Troubleshooter."
PowerDVD XP
Error Code F6F00018
The current display mode is not supported.
InterVideo WinDVD 4
Create overlay failed. Please lower your screen resolution and try again.
My screen resolution is 1024x768 32bit
I tried lowering it but this proved futile.
I even upgraded the firmware on the drive to 2.0F.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
