I've got a DVD-R 4x silver-top with no Media ID and no media code speed. All it has is a 4x write strategy and is ver 2.2 media. Tried several ID programs, all nothing. What the... ?
Was testing something that was given to me.

I got some sample Shop4tech.com Matrix 4X DVD-R and +R disks, and they have no Manufacturer ID on them. Maybe that's what you have.
