Hi,

I need help in understanding the cause of my problem.

I recently converted a CD audio format to MP3 format using the Terapin TX-3300. The playback on the TX-3300 was fine.

I brought the CD to a Win95 PC and playbacked using Windows Media Player 6.4. The MP3 couldn't playback and prompted the error message "No combination of filters could be found to render the stream".

I then brought the CD to a Win2K PC and playbacked using WMP 6.4. The MP3 couldn't playback and prompted the same error message.

Thinking it was a WMP version problem, I then brought the CD to a Win95 PC and playbacked using WMP 7.0. The MP3 couldn't playback and prompted the same error message.

I then passed the CD to a friend who imported the MP3 into Sound Forge to do editing and he saved the edited version back as a MP3 format.

This time only the Win2K PC with WMP 6.4 was able to playback. This baffled me as to why both MP3 format are the same but only the one from Sound Forge can playback. Also why all the other PCs can't playback.

What baffled me the most is that after a few days, the original version (burned from TX-3300) was able to playback on the Win95 PC with WMP 6.4. There was no updates or upgrades done.
