    Ok here's the deal:

I was trying to backup one of my dvds, but there is a VOB that would not rip because of a read error. It happens that this VOB is just an Extra, not part of the movie, so I just skipped over it -- I don't need it. Now my problem lies in the IFO (I believe :P)

    Here is the file structure:

    Code:
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.VOB
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_0.VOB
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_4.VOB
    VTS_01_5.VOB
    VTS_02_0.BUP
    VTS_02_0.IFO
    VTS_02_0.VOB
    VTS_02_1.VOB
    VTS_03_0.BUP
    VTS_03_0.IFO
    VTS_03_0.VOB
    VTS_03_1.VOB
VTS_03_2.VOB }-- This is the skipped VOB (No longer Exists)
    VTS_04_0.BUP
    VTS_04_0.IFO
    VTS_04_0.VOB
    VTS_04_1.VOB
    VTS_05_0.BUP
    VTS_05_0.IFO
    VTS_05_0.VOB
    VTS_05_1.VOB
    VTS_06_0.BUP
    VTS_06_0.IFO
    VTS_06_0.VOB
    VTS_06_1.VOB
Now how do I get VTS_03 to just end after finishing the _01.VOB? Do I need to edit VIDEO_TS.IFO in addition to VTS_03_0.IFO? What do I use? Any tutorials?

    Thanks :P

Try using IfoEdit 0.96. Open up VTS_03_0.IFO. Highlight the titles sets one at a time and hit "delete plasyback". this might help. It does work when the vob is actually there but you do not want the "Extras" playing via the Menu. Test the outcome on your PC and select the extras on the menu. it should hit the VTS_03_0.IFO and throw a black screen then immediately jump back to the selected option. If all works, then try importing the VIDEO_TS folder into your burning software and see if it will accept it without an actuall VTS_03_2.VOB. If not, process the originall DVD through DVDXCopy so you can get a VTS_03 set thet are about 100k total. THis solution has worked for me in the past.

Is there no way to actually set where the end point of the VOB set is. In this case, make the end point at the end of VTS_03_01.VOB instead of _02?

I would move all the VTS_01_X.VOB files (except VTS_01_0.VOB)
to another folder and get IFOedit to "create IFOs" for it.

You may end up with a "main movie only" DVD that works
