My HP is the same, so, I just cut the edges off. I'm getting a better one just for this purpose.

I think this is where there's some confusion with recommendations.
In the UK the sizes are"A" _ and A4 is used for covers (and most standard printing projects).
In the U.S. it's "letter" or "legal". Use legal to get closest to A4 size.
(UK A4 is slightly larger than US letter size .)
Some people, without a piece of legal paper handy, tape a strip of paper to the underside bottom of letter-sized. Then unpeel that strip when the page goes through.
http://jump.to/undercoverxp will print perfect DVD cover size with or without trim lines. You just need to choose the appropriate size of paper in your printer settings. There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Laughs at 'special' A4.
Like most people in the UK i see and use 1000s of pages of A4 everyday, in fact if you didnt know what A4 was you'd get some very strange looks, I dont think Ive ever seen 'legal - 9 x 11' size, the only reason I know it exists is that most printers/software are set up to that by defualt so you sometimes have to change it to A4. -
I didn't know what A4 was 'til I moved to UK. So I can understand the confusion. I guess most responses were from UK people, not realising that "A4" is unheard of in the States. :c)
I had to reconfigure all my software for UK sizes...... and spelling! :cD
Change those "z"s to "s"s and add all those extra "u"s. :cDThere's no place like 127.0.0.1

As several others have said, just get 8.5x14 inch paper.
Or go to an art supply store, and ask them for A4 paper for inkjet printers.
Oh forget it.... just click HERE and buy this:
