Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out how to backup my original copy of Gangs of NewYork into a single DVD-R disc. I found an old posting but unable to contact the original author on how to do this. Gangs of New York is splitted into two discs.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

There's about umptee ways to do it. Everyone has there preferences. Look over in the leftside menus and look under guides. Basically you'll have to rip both discs to the hard drive. Merge the two, delete any scens you don't want, compress the video then burn. I think DVDshrink will allow you to do it without ripping to the hard drive although I never tried it. PM ddlooping he could probably help you with a how-to guide. I don't think he'll mind. It's his progam (I think)

Ripping in the sence that you don't have to rip one at a time. You select the parts you want from both discs and end up with a compressed ready to burn copy. You'll still have a RIP'd copy on your HDD. It will already be merged.

i too have had a similar problem, although im trying to convert to CVD. i produced 4 mpeg files with CCE and DVD2SVCD. i tried to edit them to 3 large mpeg files with adobe premier, but it doesn't like the non standard resolution of a CVD and crashes.
does anyone know how i can "merge" the ripped movies, allowing me to input them all into DVD2SVCd so it recognises it as a 3 hr movie??1)Why Not Overclock a little?! speed 4 free!!!!
2) If your question has anything to do with copying PS2/PC/XBox games, find a more appropriate website -
What is CVD then?
CVD is basicly the same as SVCD but with a lower video resolution. Using a lower resolution you get more data for each pixel which means less mpeg artifacts such as blockiness compared to a SVCD with the same bitrate, but you will lose some sharpness. Most SVCD capable standalone DVD Players supports CVD.There's no place like 127.0.0.1
The Rogue Pixel: Pixels are like elephants. Every once in a while one of them will go nuts.
