When I open a particular divx file using vdub's File/Open, I receive the following error message:
AVI: Invalid or truncated MP3 audio format detected (18 bytes, should be 30). Attempting to fix.
However, if I drag and drop said divx file to the vdub icon on my desktop, the error message does not appear.
Anyone know why this occurs and what specifically is wrong with the audio track in tis file?

It could be your version of Virtual Dub. Try Virtual Dub MP3
