  1. I have a VIDEO_TS folder downloaded from the internet that I would like to burn a DVD of. I thought I could just burn it in Toast 6 using the 'DVD-ROM (UDF)' option - I tried that. It burned, but when I tried to play it with the Apple DVD player, it would only disply 'NOT PERMITTED' in the viewer screen. Any ideas what about what's wrong?

Burning DVDs is very new to me - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

You probably burned the DVD video files in the root of the DVD. Your DVD file structure should be:

    DVD_NAME
    - AUDIO_TS
    - VIDEO_TS
    -- *.IFO
    -- *.BUP
    -- *.VOB

  3. This is the contents of the VIDEO_TS folder. There is no AUDIO_TS folder.

    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_0.VOB
    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_4.VOB

You need to create a new folder and rename it to the title of the DVD. Then create another folder inside of that one and name it AUDIO_TS. Drag the VIDEO_TS folder into the main folder as well. Finally, drop the folder containing both the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders into Toast 6. Use the DVD-ROM UDF setting. Remove the .ds store file if one was automatically created. Burn. That's all there is to it.

You are riding a fine line here.

typically downloaded video_ts files come from warez sites, but this is difficult to say.

either way you found an answer to your solution.

future reference, dont ask how to correct/edit/burn movies you download from sites that are consider warez

im not saying this is, but it smells like it could be (again = fine line)
