I have built my own custom made PC and was wondering what Software I should use to backup DVD to DVD-r Nero 6 or RecordNow MAx.( I HAVE PIONEER A06) I have backed up DVD to VCD to the limit and thought of going to DVD. I have all the neccessary programs and I have read that Nero gives alot of problems
So which shall it be.

Nero 6 gets my vote. I have burnt the same video_ts folders on nero and then record now and the nero one plays on everything record now only play on some players.

Quite an opposite experience here. I switched from Nero 6 to RecordNow Max because Nero produced coasters. RNM is not working perfect for me, but seems to waste less DVD+Rs.

I just started burning DVDs. I have a Pioneer 106, and have been using Nero 6. Using HP DVD+R (2.4X) media and have made 5 perfect back-ups that play in every player that I've tried, 2 of them are 3 years old. The 4X +RW that I used to learn how to do it, would not play in any of the players other than the PC. Nero and DVDShrink seem to work great.

Download them both and give them a test drive for 30 days.
