  1. ive used DVD Decrypter on PC and it actually highlights JUST the necessarey movies files for you. i noticed that DVD Backup doesnt do that so its actually taking much longer to rip it because you are doing every single file on the dvd as opposed to just doing the necessary files. are there any options that you can change that in backup? or maybe there is an update to DVD Backup that i dont have yet? which is the current version?

You can manually select the fiels you want, but DVDBackup is mainly to backup a whole DVD. Perhaps OSeX is better suited for what you're looking for.

Actually, if you want to just get a particular .vob out of the dvd, use DVDbackup1.3
you drag the dvd to the window, they are all listed.
Highlight the ones you DO NOT WANT!, then push REMOVE DVD FILES.
now you will notice that only the ones you want remain

process now, and it will be faster than when it does the entire dvd.

OSEX is nice because you can do chapter marks, where as DVDbackup 1.3 you are just extracting the dvd .vob's which usually contain more than one chapter.

if your looking for a specific chapter(s) just load the dvd into the app, uncheck all the chapters except the ones you want to keep in the Ch tab

then just select your Fmt (fragment) as progressive stream ( i think, its been a while, it could be elemental but im inclined to say that ones does .m2v and .ac3) then hit process

Like i said, its nice because you can do individual chapters or portions.
