Do you Multiplex your sound with your video before authoring or let the authoring program do it? If it is done by say TMPG dvd author will it be in sync or have any problems like that?

Generaly speaking it is better not to multiplex yourself. The only time I did do this myself is when I used Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 since that program would only accept AC-3 audio if it was muxed in with the VIDEO and imported as a single MPEG file.Originally Posted by Zlash

From my understanding the authoring program will have to demux a multiplexed MPEG file anyway for the creation of the DVD so no reason to do it yourself.
Plus you sometimes could CAUSE sync problems if you do it yourself anyways.
So it is best to use an Authoring program (like TMPGEnc DVD Author) that accepts seperate VIDEO and AUDIO files and just do it that way.
The authoring program knows what it is doing.
