    I can get them to play, but they are stretched. How can I change this?

    Power DVd assumes the file you are playing is proportioned for a TV and displays it accordingly. There's nothing wrong with it.

    You can mess with the aspect ratio settings, or use a player designed for AVI's not DVD's.
