    when i write a mpeg in vcd ,my dvd players play them in black and white
    and also the same problemwith some dvd's ,i live in europe ,what can i do about it ,thx

    Ensure Your VCD's are encoded as PAL, not NTSC. This is a common symtoom of format mismatch. Your DVD player will happily play NTSC material, but your TV may not accept NTSC signals.
