  1. Okay... I'm using Tmpgenc 2.0 as well as used 1.2j or whatever version right before 2.0. I am in the process in converting divx avi files to mpg so I can burn it to VCD. I load up the program, choose vcd ntsc as template and start on the conversion. Everything is fine till I play it on TV and found the lower part of the screen where the subtitle would show are cut off or won't show clearly because part of the subs are cut off.

The divx file are 320X240. I have tried to use 1:1 VGA as well as 4:3 525 yet no avail. Also, tried to change video arrange method from full screen (keep aspect, 2) as well as center screen (keep aspect) yet no avail.

What is the best setting to do what I need to do so when I play it on my TV, it won't cut off the very bottom where the subtitles would display. TV is NTSC...

    Thanks for any help!!!

  2. [advanced tab]
    Use source aspect: 4:3 display
video arrange Method: Full screen (keep aspect ratio)

    Size: 352x240
Use video aspect: 4:3 525 line (NTSC)

That should give you the correct size. Just try with a few second encode.
