There are really on three steps in their ordering process and yes all three steps it said a 100 packOriginally Posted by LanEvo7
Step four of their process is actually newegg thanking you for ordering from them and it is in this step when the quantity changed to a fifty count
at this point there is nothing you can do except contact them at a later time to cancel the order since the transaction has already been made and I didnt want to do since the price was still actually cheap for the fifty pack and I was planning on keeping them at that price. My whole point here being is that I ordered a hundred pack they proccessed the order as a 100 pack and not until the order was placed and not untill the thankyou screen did they change it to a 50 pack. If it was an honest to goodness mistake any and every web store I have ever dealt with would have either canceled the order and made me readmit the order or they would have contacted me and notified me of the change and asked for my approval, newegg did neither of these they just shipped the order and that shows poor custumer service.
Step five is

So why didn't you just cancel the order if you felt that they done you wrong? You could have called their toll free number and just cancelled the whole order.

Rima.com = 100 pack of Riteks for $84. They also charge less for shipping than other companies such as meritline.

Well, yes they never openly admitted to a mistake. Though if you call them and told them the situation, they wouldn't charge the restocking fee. What I don't understand is why he is making such a big deal out of this minor typo. I'm not saying he is wrong and newegg is right, but there was a typo. A red flag should have popped up when he placed the order since it was severly underpriced. There was sufficient time for him to cancel the whole order if he really felt that newegg cheated him. He got what he wanted and as he said for a good price. Yet, he is complaining because newegg didn't want to let him take advantage of mistake.

Have you ever read the bottom of one of the ads you are reffering to
They say "NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS"
I have searched neweggs site high and low for this but could not find it
if someone knows where its at or where it says they have the right to ship a different product of equal or greater value without notifying the custumer "because this is what they did" please point me in the right direction.
As I stated before if they would have fessed up and notified me first I would have kept the disks
As far as the the car being listed for bannanas that cannot be considered an error, an error would be a 1 for a 2 or a 2 for a 3 a simple mistake or slip of the finger[/quote]

Also if you read this thread once again you would have saw that I called customer service and talked to a superviser and they refused to admit to their so called mistake and they did charge me a restocking fee.
I never complained about not getting the 100 pack for $59.99
Not once did I complain about that
My complaint was about their lousy customer service and they way they treated me on the phone
Again if you would have read the thread than you would known half the facts and you could have posted at least an intelligent reply but no you believe you know it all so you gotta post some stupid $h!^ like you did
Next time I decide to do somthing in life I will contact you first to find out the outcome since you seem to know all the answers
Ive said my piece and I never complained
Now Im done with this thread -
Ok you aren't complaining
.
BTW, you can refuse the package even if it was shipped out. -

This all could have been avoided if the cutomer service rep and his supervisor would have spoke to me in a proffesional manner. I would have kept the 50 pack since it was actually a damn good value for the money but instead they lost close to an 8 or 9 hundred dollar a year customer and I will pay double before ever dealing with them again. Just informing you of all the options you have. If you really feel that they are that bad, then you shouldn't buy from them again.
