  1. I have a dell Inspiron 4000 laptop, and my monitor for it keeps ******* up. I'm not sure what the problem is or anything but it's irking me.

4-5 times a week it will become fuzzy and lose some of it's color rendering(?) so that my blues are crappy, and everything looks . . . i don't know how to explain it.

Please help if you can and upgrading or buy anything at all is out of the question.

    thank you

Edit: Not that it'll probly help but the driver is an ATI Mobility128 AGP 2X (DELL)

I don't know if this will help, but on my daughters IBM, the screen would often not come on at all.

Wound up taking it apart. Found the LCD connector had worked pretty well loose. Reseated it and all is well, now.

With color/fuzzy problem, might not be, but maybe worth a try. I'll warn you the damn things are a puzzle to get apart, even. Plugs, little plastic tape pads. Gotta look close.

    Good luck.

  4. g_shocker182, that's almost exactly what's happening only more so on the colors. Black and white lettering isn't nearly that bad, but looks like it may be soon.
