I've seen a couple articles on suggested filters to use with VirtualDub, but have yet to find one that had the links to the filters they were talking about and (where there were links) that the links actually worked.
Currently I run by starting with the DeInterlace filter that comes with VD in Blend mode. I then have the Smoother filter next on the list with very minimal smoothing but with the Noise Prefilter turned on.
This seems to produce acceptable quality, but I'm wondering if there are better filters out there than the defaults. Better in quality would be great. Better in being faster as well would be outstanding.
Input files are usually DV AVIs captured with a Canopus ADVC-100.
Thanks,
Ewan
