    Could some one help please

When i play my AVI files the sound is ok in media player and divx player but when i try to convert it to mpeg using tmpgenc there is no sound.I have run the file through avi codec and it says the following (Video : 593 Mb, 873 Kbps, 25.0 fps, res. 560*352 (16:9), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4, Supported)

In tmpgenc it is set on system and audio and everthing seems OK until i try to play it there is a picture but no sound. Is there a codec i am missing

    Thanks

Probably got variable bit rate MP3, strip out the audio with virtual dub (direct stream copy / save WAV) and use BeSweet to convert to WAV.

Use the new WAV as the audio input into TMPGEnc.

    Nope, wav files are huge.

I like Goldwave for converting the audio to wav, just load the avi and save.

  5. The .wav file you saved from Virtualdub is almost certainly an mp3 file but given a .wav extension (hence the small size) while the Besweet file will be a true wav
