What is the difference between the 2. I have been ordering G04's but there is a pretty good deal going on with the G03's so I was curious to know what the difference was between them.

G04 burn at 4X, G03 usually burn at 1X, sometimes 2X in certain drives with certain firmware. Pioneer DVR-104 with 1.31 Firmware jumps to mind for this...good quality discs no matter what though.

I just ordered a 100 spindle of the G03 matted surface media from Supermediastore.com for $91.60 shipped. I have a DVR-105 with the 1.33 2X-DVD-R12XRIP firmware and it gives 100% stable burns. I opted to pick up a 100 of these instead of G04 media at $1.27 each shipped.

The savings is signficant (29%) and I don't mind waiting an extra 15 minutes for $35 a hundred. I'll probably start using more 4X media when 8X launches and the price for 4X settles into the sub $1 range for G04.

Shout out to N.O. from the Northshore!

Right on brother, same here. 15 cost 35$ doesn't sound right. Wait for 8x, buy 4x, wait for 16x, buy 8x, see the pattern?
