I'm creating an avi file with VirtualDub and I'm adding subtitles from a *.ssa file which I ripped from a vob using subrip. The problem is when I add the subtitles, they come up 5 seconds too late. Is there a program which will edit this? or do I need to add 5 seconds of dead space to the beginging of the avi file?

I think that Subtitle Studio will allow you to add a delay to the timings of your subtitle script.
I presume that you can make the delay negative, but I haven't got a script to mess about with at the moment.
cheers,
mcdruid.
