  1. Hi .......

I'm having loads of problems converting an avi file to mpeg for a DVD ....

I'm using TMPGEnc to convert the file .........

It takes AGES to convert (40 hours!) then i get the video, followed by the sound all in one file.

I'm selecting "System+Audio", reducing the file size down to 4070Gb, setting the video to 720x576, 25fps ......

I cab't seem to get it to make the mpeg file into a Video/Audio normal mpeg so i can use DVDit! to author it.

    Any ideas?

    Dave.

  2. Get yourself a copy of DVD2svcd there is a section of the program that lets you convert AVI to Mpeg 2 for DVD burning.

I've used it takes a little fiddling to get working correctly but when it does takes a fraction of the time TMPGEnc does

What's about the bitrate ... do you use vbr or cb ? Is it possible to get more information ?
