Hi all!
1. Is there any firmware update available, that can update my Tochiba SD 220E to 230E? I would like to by able to view JPEG CDs with my player. The 230E should know this...
2. I tried to play SVCDs. The picture was OK, but my receiver didn't got 5.1 sound from the player. (I got 5.1 signal only from DVDs.) Is this normal? Or the SVCD were not burned correctly?
Many thanks,
cumi

good player but now made obsolete by sd230..
svcd can have 2 audio tracks(both stereo) neither of which can be 5.1Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons. -
RabidDog,
as I read on "https://www.videohelp.com/svcd" Chapter "SVCD vs VCD" the SVCD could/should have 5.1 surround sound (2 audio channels)...
Actually I don't really understand this... -
CDs of very good quality full-motion video along with up to 2 stereo audio tracks
I used to own sd210e, which had annoying svcd audio sync issue on properly authored svcd. V good player except for that.Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.
