  1. Hello all

In the dvdrhelp page it states that encore support DTS-audio. Is this correct or not.

I don't mean encoding, just supporting importing a encoded-dts stream and using it on the dvd.

    Anyone any comments on that.

    Regards,

    RJB

Yes, I believe it does. You can import any type of audio to your project. If it is not DVD compliant it will convert it to PCM or DD 2.0, which ever you choose.

Encore CERTAINLY accepts DTS it says..
Haven't tried it as I'm at loss as to what tool to use to make a DTS file....
    How did you make yours?

  4. There was some software whose name escapes me now that converts 6 wav files into a .dts stream, it worked along the same lines as Softencode Surcode which makes AC3 files.

  5. Thanks all,

There is the company surcode, it has a software dts encoder, now nuendo also offers a dts-plugin. Other option is hardware to do the encoding.

I can't find the confirmation on the adobe website about the dts, has anyone tried it?

    regards,

If you can host a sample of it somewhere and email me the link I can download it from work and test it and see what it does.

I guess Dolby 5.1 was enough for me since Adobe apps support it pretty well but DTS would be nice to play with sometime.

  7. Well,

I saw a site that has dts files, maybe you can do a download there and check it out. (I hope you have broadband internet)
