I know I should have posted here earlier but...
I've been experimenting with ripping a DVD-R I made and putting it back together again in its original form, starting with the sound of course, by ripping AC3 audio into 6 separate mono .wav files and then reconverting them back to its original AC3 form.
I'm using BeSweet for this. So far, I have ripped successfully. The problem now is the recreation of the AC3 files. I tried to mix the 2 rear channels to 2 channel (or even 5.1) AC3. BeSweet managed to create them, but I cannot get any sound off of it. And when I try to unite the MPG file to AC3 file through TMPG it gets an error.
Which means, of course, I cannot yet get beyond the stage of remixing the 6 mono files into 5.1 AC3.
Can anyone E-mail me privately at hiphats@comcast.net or at least send me a private message and recommend freeware (or some software) that can do that successfully?
Thanks.
