    I recently purchased a Pioneer A06 and tried to use Roxio 5 CD-Creator Platinum updated w/ the latest drivers (5.3.5.10) to burn a data DVD. Roxio complained that it couldn't find a valid DVD writer. (Nero found it just fine). I had a similar problem with a Plextor DVD/CD-writer combo but the update cured it.

    Has anyone had a similar problem, and if so, is there a fix?

    There were 2 updates on the Roxio site. Just downloaded the other one and it works fine. It never fails. Look before you post.

    Watch out because the ROXIO 5 xxxx product had a bug that If you try topburn a DVD with less than 4 gig of files it cannnot finalize the disc!
    It'll still work on a computer..but no set top will play a un finished disc (not closed )

    OVER 4 gigs to burn..and it burns as well as NERO usually
