    how do i convert a mpeg2 that has ac3 audio with virtualdub

    You don't. VirtualDub doesn't support MPEG2 or AC3.

    If you want to try another program, try checking the tools area on this site, or *gasp* the guides section.

    You didn't say what you wanted to do. Are you converting to SVCD, DVD, DivX, RM, WMV, Cell Phone? It makes a difference if you need 3 tools or 5 to do it.

    Look for the VDUB mod series. one supports AC3 and the Other supports MPEG2. AC3 is covered quite well depending on what you want for a final product.

    Generally speaking what you asked for doesn't exist, that is an MPEG2 with AC3 sound, since it something that would only play on a PC. Did you mean a DVD?
