Any comments on internal vs external (aside from the obvious - portability). I've got a new system and am looking for a dual format DVD+-R. But I'm not sure if I should go USB 2.0 or internal IDE?
I've read the reviews and the other posts, and I like the Sony. So I'm looking at DRX510UL (USB) or DRU510A (EIDE)
Thanks....

There are slight and subtle differences between the internal and external. It shouldn't be an issue during burning. It can be an issue during ripping. If you stick the newest Nero/Recordnow you should be fine. Bigger buffer drives (8MB versus 2MB) majorly help out wityh underruns.
